•UseaMiniDisplayPortcertiedcablewithMiniDisplayPorticon()toconnectthedevicefor
stablefunctionality.
Itmaytakeseveralsecondsbeforetheprojectordisplaystheimage.Ifyoudonotseeyourdesktop
displayedafter60seconds,trypressingtheF7keytoswitchbetweendifferentdisplayoutputlocations.
Yourprojectormighthaveoneormoreaudio-inputconnectors.Toprojectsound,youneedtoattachthe
audioconnectoronyourcomputertotheseconnectors,usinganaudiocable(commerciallyavailable).
Usingdualdisplays
ThissectionintroducestheDuplicateandExtenddesktopfunctionsthatenableyoutodisplayoutputon
boththecomputerdisplayandanexternalmonitor.
UsingtheDuplicateorExtenddesktopfunction
WiththeDuplicatedesktopfunction,youcandisplaythesameoutputonboththecomputerdisplayand
anexternaldisplay.YoualsocandisplaydifferentdesktopimagesoneachmonitorwiththeExtend
desktopfunction.
YoucanusetheDuplicateorExtenddesktopfunctionwithoutchanginganysettings.Ifthefunctiondoes
notwork,refertothefollowingtopiconhowtoenabletheDuplicateorExtenddesktopfunction.
EnablingtheDuplicateorExtenddesktopfunction
ToenabletheDuplicateorExtenddesktopfunction,dothefollowing:
1.Connecttheexternalmonitortothemonitorconnector;thenconnecttheexternalmonitortoan
electricaloutlet.
2.Turnontheexternalmonitor.
3.PressF7,thenselectDuplicateorExtend.
Tochangetheresolutionforeachmonitor,dothefollowing:
1.Right-clickonthedesktop,andclickScreenresolution.
2.ClicktheMonitor-1icon,whichisfortheprimarydisplay(thecomputerdisplaybydefault).
3.Settheresolutionfortheprimarydisplay.
4.ClicktheMonitor-2icon,whichisforthesecondarydisplay(theexternaldisplaybydefault).
5.Settheresolutionforthesecondarydisplay.
6.ClickAdvancedsettingsandsetupthecolorqualityontheMonitortab.
7.ClickOKtoapplythechanges.
