VIEWING SERVERS AND THEIR DETAILS

Before MCSI can discover the IP Modules, the AG Server has to be enabled. Perform the following

IP Module configuration procedure:

For the MCSI AG Client to discover the IP Module, the AG Server must be enabled.

# set ag enable

The client broadcasts an UDP request for which the IP Modules AG Server waiting on port 526

responds with:

• Server / Host Name

• Model Type

DISCOVERED SERVERS

Once the AG Server is enabled, you can display the discovered IP Modules by opening the

MCSI2000 Management Console. The discovered RAS products are also displayed as shown in the

following screen.

The IP Modules are displayed as MTSEIP with a numerical reference designator following, e.g., 01.

This indicates the first IP Module that was discovered. The default RAS products are displayed as

SERVER_1 as the first discovered server. You can change the server name as indicated in the above

screen.
