8. The Setup Status screen appears while files are being copied.

9. At the UserName & Password Required screen, create a User Name and Password for use

with the MCSI software.

By clicking the OK button, the username and password along with the

expected login prompt and password prompt are added to the database.

These details are used to login to the discovered servers when COMMAP application is opened.

Authentication status of each server is displayed using colored dots (green if authentication is

successful or red if authentication is not successful, respectively). MCSI shows a blue dot with all

IP Modules.

These details are stored in the registry.

When any application opens mapped COM port, the details from the registry are used to

transparently login to RAS/IP Modules using MAG/ telnet respectively.

Expected login and password prompt, if any, have to be specified for IPModule authentication.

Click OK.
